About The Potter:
Born and raised in Central Texas, Steve Sprinkle got his start in pottery while attending Texas Tech University in the late sixties. With a degree in art and a determination to produce functional pottery he started his first studio in Austin. Moving to the Dallas area in 1979 he located his current studio in the historic section of downtown Irving.
His deep affection for Texas, it's native inhabitants, and their rich history led him into Buckskinning. It was an easy natural step for Steve to combine his profession with historic interests.
